Pilar Echeverria and Maria Fassi to be Inducted Into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida (October 31, 2025) – Pilar Echeverria of University of Indianapolis and Maria Fassi of University of Arkansas will be inducted into the WGCA Players Hall of Fame on Monday evening, December 8, 2025. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning with a reception sponsored by Babygrande Golf and followed by dinner and the banquet. Echeverria and Fassi become the 90th and 91st members of the WGCA Players Hall of Fame. 

Pilar Echeverria completed her five-year career at University of Indianapolis as one of the most successful golfers in the school’s history. She was a two-time PING WGCA Player of the Year, five-time WGCA First-Team All-American, and a four-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year. She collected a school-record 18 tournament wins, including three consecutive NCAA Regional Championship titles, and holds the program record in both lowest career scoring average (73.09) and lowest single season scoring average (71.56). Echeverria helped lead the Greyhounds to four straight GLVC Championship titles, three NCAA Regional Championship titles, and one NCAA Championship title. 

Maria Fassi graduated from University of Arkansas with both the lowest career scoring average (72.03) and the lowest single season scoring average (70.50) in program history. Her 11 career wins rank second in the record books, and include two SEC Championships, an NCAA Regional Championship title, and the 2019 NCAA Championship crown. She was a PING WGCA Player of the Year, three-time WGCA All-American, two-time SEC Player of the Year, and the 2019 SEC Female Athlete of the Year. Fassi helped lead the Razorbacks to three NCAA Championships appearances, including a program-best fourth place finish in 2019, and one NCAA Regional Title. She has gone on to represent Mexico at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics and has recorded eight career top 10 finishes as a professional on the LPGA Tour.
