The WGCA Mentorship Program allows WGCA Members to create more personal and professional growth through shared learning and communication with current members. With this format, the program will provide increased internal growth for the
entire organization.
Each year the program continues to grow and offers a unique opportunity for WGCA Members with the following benefits:
- Learn from coaches from all levels of experience and divisions
- Form relationships with coaches across the country
- Share experiences and grow personally and professionally
- Build a support system
- Only requires one (1) hour a month time commitment
requirements
- Participate in one monthly call with Mentorship group starting in October
- At least every other month will be a video/zoom call. This will encourage more participation/focus and will also strengthen the relationship.
- Participate in periodic evaluations and offer feedback to the Program Manager
- Be willing to periodically communicate with members of group outside of scheduled times
- Maintain confidentiality within the mentorship group regarding items discussed by the mentorship group, with the exception of safety and health

levels and eligibility
- Lead Mentor
- Be an active or life/retired WGCA member
- Have a minimum of 10 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, as a head or assistant coach
- Intermediate Mentor
- Be an active or life/retired WGCA member
- Have 5-9 years of coaching experience of coaching experience at the collegiate level, as a head or assistant coach
- Mentee Eligibility
- Be an active WGCA member
- Have fewer than five years total of coaching experience at the collegiate level, as a head or assistant coach
