2025 Division II and Division III Inkster Award Recipients Announced

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida (June 26, 2025) – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced the recipients of the 2025 Inkster Award for Divisions II and III.

The Inkster Award recognizes the highest ranked women's collegiate golfer in her final year of NCAA eligibility. The award is presented separately to the top Division I, II and III players.  The recipient must be academically eligible per NCAA rules and have played a minimum of 12 rounds during the year.  

Division II Inkster Award
Madison Murr, Cal State University San Marcos

Madison Murr finished in the top two in all but one tournament during the 2024-25 season. She collected five wins, including individual titles at the NCAA Championship and California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship, and was named CCAA Golfer of the Year.

Murr concludes her career at CSUSM with 10 tournament wins, 21 top three finishes, and 32 top 10 finishes. She was a three-time WGCA All-American and two-time CCAA Golfer of the Year, as well as a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar. 


Division III Inkster Award
Sydney Kuo, Washington University in St. Louis

Sydney Kuo finished in the top ten in every tournament during the 2024-25 season, with four top three finishes and one win. The University Athletic Association Player of the Year placed seventh at the NCAA Championship. 

In her four seasons at WashU, the four-time WGCA First-Team All-American helped lead the Bears to three top 10 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including a runner-up finish in 2023. She is a four-time UAA Player of the Year, the only four-time winner in the conference’s history, as well as a three-time WGCA All-American Scholar.
